Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information LaneCaptain uses to run your team workspace and process a season purchase.
Effective August 27, 2026Information LaneCaptain processes
LaneCaptain stores information needed to operate the service, including the captain account email, team and player names, league settings, schedules, scores, frame sheets, awards, and team activity. Player PINs are protected with one-way hashing rather than stored as readable PINs. LaneCaptain and its providers may also process IP address, browser or device information, session data, and security logs needed to authenticate access, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and operate the service.
Payments
Stripe hosts and processes checkout. LaneCaptain receives limited purchase information needed to confirm payment, activate league weeks, prevent duplicate processing, and provide billing support. LaneCaptain does not receive or store full card numbers.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate access, operate league features, preserve team settings and history, activate purchased weeks, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and protect the service. LaneCaptain does not sell team or player information.
Service providers
LaneCaptain relies on service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, and payment processing. Those providers process information under their own agreements and privacy notices, including as needed to deliver their services, prevent fraud, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
Captain responsibilities
Captains decide which players are added and who receives team codes and PINs. Captains should add only information they are permitted to use and should keep access details private. Do not add a child's information without any consent required by law.
Retention and requests
Team information is retained while it is needed to provide the service and maintain season history. Captains may contact LaneCaptain to request access, correction, or deletion. Some payment and security records may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required.
Security and policy changes
LaneCaptain uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated effective date.
