These terms apply when a captain purchases or uses LaneCaptain for a bowling team.

By creating a captain account, purchasing a season, or using LaneCaptain, you agree to these terms. If you act for a team, you confirm that you are authorized to manage that team's LaneCaptain workspace.
Team license
One LaneCaptain Season purchase covers one team, up to six active bowlers, and 36 league weeks. A single purchase may not be used to operate multiple teams or resold to another person.
Captain responsibility
The captain is responsible for the account, the information entered into LaneCaptain, and deciding who receives the permanent team code and player PINs. Captains are also responsible for the accuracy of names, scores, handicaps, schedules, and other league information they enter.
Payments and renewal
LaneCaptain Season is a one-time purchase processed by Stripe. It does not automatically renew. Any discount is shown before payment, and a future season requires a separate purchase.
Refunds
Purchases are subject to the published Refund Policy. All sales are final except where a refund is required by law or LaneCaptain determines that a duplicate or incorrect charge occurred.
Acceptable use
Do not use LaneCaptain unlawfully, attempt to access another team without permission, interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, or copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse the software.
Service availability
LaneCaptain may change or improve features over time. The service is provided on an as-available basis, and interruptions may occur for maintenance, security, provider outages, or events outside LaneCaptain's control. Captains should keep exported backups of information that is especially important to their team.
League records and legal rights
LaneCaptain is a team organization and entertainment tool, not a bowling association or official league authority. Captains remain responsible for confirming official scores, standings, and league rules. Nothing in these terms limits a right or remedy that applicable law does not allow LaneCaptain to waive.
Changes and termination
LaneCaptain may suspend access used unlawfully or in a way that threatens another team or the service. Material changes to these terms will be posted here with an updated effective date.
